What will happen to our WTR?

Welcome to LOVEURWTR. This is basically my space to bring awareness to the detrimental state of our planet and primarily our water. Something we all use everyday. And something we literally cannot live without. Have you ever gone a day without having a glass of water? Or maybe gone a day without taking a dip in the Great Lakes, the ocean or a near by pond? Have you ever felt desperate for that cleansing and refreshing feeling?
I had a conversation the other day about little getaways from stressful things and situations. Sitting there I thought how the water has always been my getaway. My place to escape to anywhere in the world. It brings more peace to me than anything. Whether I’m surfing, diving, free diving through swim throughs, or just floating on the surface I’m immediately relaxed and not worried about anything. It’s my kind of medicine and meditation. The water is my religion. 

I can’t imagine a world without water. Without a tall glass of fresh ice cold water. Without surfing on the Great Lakes or in the ocean. Without diving. Without swimming. I can’t imagine it. This water is the only water we have. This planet is the only one we have. What is put into this water matters. What you use on your skin to protect you from the sun matters. How much plastic you use MATTERS. The impact we have on our waters will matter for the rest of time. After we’re all gone the water will still be here. How do you want to leave it? Uninhabitable for the sharks and fish and creatures that will out live us? That is if they make it through the war we are putting them through. Remember how large of an impact you have on this planet. Don’t be lazy and continue the same pattern of plastic usage and harmful ingredients to our beautiful and innocent waters. Watch out for ingredients such as, oxybenzone, octinoxate/ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene. They’re not only toxic for our lakes, oceans, reefs, sharks and fish but our skin. You will be rubbing toxic chemicals to your skin and depleting the quality of our reefs at the same time. How fun right?! No. Not fun. Very sad in fact. Use sunscreen that you can pronounce ALL the ingredients! Like Zinc!!!! Sunscreen companies such as @allgoodbrand and many more have ingredients that are good for our precious skin and waters!! How cool!!! That’s something that’s actually really cool. And it’d be real cool if you used products that support organizations that are doing their part in protecting what you use everyday!
